Maternal Health

A team that knows you when labour starts

When your contractions start, the last thing you want is to explain your history to someone who has never met you. If you've been attending your antenatal visits at Family Clinic, our team already knows your pregnancy, your blood group, your plans, and any risks that need watching for.

Maternity care

From active labour to delivery

Our maternity unit handles both normal vaginal deliveries and caesarean sections. When you arrive in active labour, a midwife and obstetric doctor assess you — checking dilation, foetal position, heart rate, and your blood pressure. From that point, someone is with you.

For planned deliveries — whether a normal delivery or a scheduled caesarean — we discuss everything in advance: when to come in, what to bring, what will happen, and what the plan is if things change. You'll make decisions with the team, not have them made on your behalf.

Our theatre is equipped for emergency caesarean section when needed. We don't wait on transfers for obstetric emergencies — the surgical team is here.
