Family Clinic was established to provide affordable, accessible healthcare to the Ugandan community — care that treats each patient as a whole person, not just a presenting symptom. That means addressing physical health, yes. But also emotional wellbeing, recovery from injury or illness, and the social circumstances that shape whether someone stays healthy or doesn't.
We work alongside other healthcare providers, community organisations, and stakeholders because no single clinic can do all of this alone. And we advocate for the kind of health system Uganda deserves — one where access to quality care is not determined by where you live or how much you earn.
Our Objectives
Affordable, accessible care
Healthcare shouldn't require a certain income level to access properly. Our fees are set to be manageable, our specialists are available without a long referral chain, and every patient receives real attention to what is actually happening with them — physically, emotionally, and socially.
Care that fits each person
No two patients have the same situation. We treat each person as an individual with a specific history and specific circumstances — not as a condition to be managed according to a standard protocol. What we recommend for you depends on you.
Rehabilitation and recovery
Illness and injury don't end when you leave the consulting room. Our rehabilitation team supports patients recovering from surgery, stroke, or serious illness — helping rebuild physical function, restore independence, and reconnect with daily life.
Links to social support
Health problems rarely exist in isolation. A patient managing a chronic condition may also need help with community resources, family support, or social connections. Where we can, our team helps make those links — because social circumstances directly affect health outcomes.
Health education and awareness
Knowing what to watch for — in yourself, in your children, in an elderly parent — changes what you do about it. We share clinical knowledge directly with patients in consultation, through community outreach camps, and through the health information we publish.
Collaboration with other providers
No single clinic handles everything. We work with other healthcare providers, organisations, and community stakeholders to ensure patients who need more than we offer don't fall through the gap between one system and another. Referrals go both ways, and follow-up is part of the process.
Equitable access as a right
We believe access to quality healthcare is a matter of human rights, not privilege. We support policies and practices that move Uganda's health system toward equitable access — and we hold ourselves to that standard in how we run this clinic.
Medical Team
Family Clinic's medical team spans specialists, nurses, laboratory staff, and surgical support — all working under one roof across ten departments. They consult with each other directly, see patients face to face, and share the same commitment to honest, thorough care from the first visit through to recovery.
