When a condition needs deeper expertise
Internal medicine physicians are specialists in diagnosing and managing complex or multi-system conditions — situations where the problem doesn't fit a simple category, or where several conditions interact in ways that affect treatment decisions. If your GP has referred you to a physician, or if you've been dealing with a difficult condition for some time, this is the right place.

A physician's assessment takes time and goes in depth. They review your full medical history — not just the presenting problem — and look at how everything connects. A patient managing both diabetes and kidney disease, for example, needs medication decisions made with both conditions in mind simultaneously. A patient with unexplained symptoms across several systems needs someone who can hold all of that together.
Our physicians work closely with the laboratory and with other specialist departments in the clinic. When a case sits across two specialties, the conversation happens in-house — you're not waiting on referral letters between institutions.
Long-term management is also part of what our physician clinic does. Chronic conditions evolve. Treatment plans need reviewing. The physician who has been following your case over months or years makes those reviews with context, not from scratch.
