Students here see a breadth of cases, work alongside experienced specialists, and develop the clinical confidence that only direct patient contact can build.

What placements at Family Clinic offer
With ten specialist departments under one roof, students on placement at Family Clinic encounter a wider range of clinical scenarios than a single-specialty placement would allow. A nursing student rotates through maternal care, the general ward, and the outpatient clinic. A medical student takes histories in general medicine, observes surgical procedures, and sits in on specialist consultations. An allied health student works alongside the physiotherapy or laboratory team.
Supervision is not an afterthought here. Students are assigned to a named supervisor in their department. Feedback is structured and regular. Our clinical team understands that supervision is part of professional responsibility — and that how students are trained shapes the kind of practitioners they become.
